Introduce yourself to the world of whitewater paddlesports with this fun course. The minimum age to participate is 8 years old, and anyone between the ages of 8 and 15 must be with an adult chaperone. A full day introduction to whitewater kayaking, this course focuses on the joys of paddling more than the hard skills. The day begins with understanding the equipment and a morning session on a stretch of flat, gently moving water where students learn basic strokes, boat control and safety maneuvers. After a lakeside lunch, students head to a skill-appropriate stretch of river to see how they like paddling. Intended for those curious about whitewater paddling this program emphasizes scenery, companionship and fun.

• Boat design
• Whitewater gear and proper fit
• River terminology
• Boat safety

Skills you will acquire include:
