This internationally recognized certification is a must for river enthusiasts and non-profit organizations that spend time on moving water. It adds to the ACA River and Safety Rescue Course and provides vital training that assimilates the use of basic river gear, skills and knowledge to build confidence in the latest techniques in swiftwater rescue. The focus is on water hazard identification, rescue planning and executing rescues of self and others.

The 3-day RRC Pro course is designed for guides, river professionals and avid recreational paddlers. It is fast-paced and physically demanding. Students will develop quick reaction times and learn to recognize available options and resources. Students’ abilities to assist team rescue scenarios, practice basic rope skills, stabilize and evacuate victims, boat-based rescues and swimming in whitewater will be evaluated. The course also features a night-ops training exercise and focuses heavily on hands-on scenarios. A detailed course book helps students maintain skills and stay current with continued education and testing options. Whitewater river experience and Class II-III skills required.
